Residency Application Process

The Waukesha Family Medicine Residency Program participates in the National Residency Matching Program in seeking to fill its first year positions.

The goal of the residency application process is to attract and match candidates whose interests and strengths are compatible with the family medicine residency program's educational design. This process recognizes both the needs of the prospective resident and the program. All applications are reviewed in full by the practice's recruitment committee composed of faculty and residents. We accept ERAS applications between September 1st and December 31st.

For 2024-2025, we are excited to offer both in-person and virtual interviews! All applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and interviews are offered immediately to qualified applicants. Our program accepts signaling through the ERAS application and will consider signals when making decisions about offering interviews. We will be conducting interviews from early October through mid January. Once our required interview season has ended, all applicants are invited to an in-person “second look” event to give you an opportunity to get to know us better! These optional events will not impact ranking decisions. Additionally, we will not consider ERAS application signals when developing our rank order list, nor will we consider whether your interview was in person or virtual.
